UPDATE THREE: Ding Ding Ding - The fight is officially over on 2/16.
UPDATE TWO: On Friday 2/15 Wal-Mart announced it's decision to move to an exclusive Blu Ray distribution. We should see the white flag from Toshiba soon...
UPDATE ONE: As an update to this post. A few days after receiving this the news broke that Best Buy will now be slowing moving to full Blu-ray while their employees will recommend Blu-ray to all who ask.
I received an email this afternoon from Netflix (see below). Looks as if its all over but the crying. With Netflix being a huge provider of content to consumers via their speedy and user friendly online rental/delivery system this is another major blow to the supporters of HD-DVD. This following Warners Bros defection to Blu-Ray a few weeks back means that HD DVD is basically out of the format war.
stumbled across this 5,800 sq ft house that overlooks Hollywood and downtown LA. it may possibly have the coolest home theater ever with a "drive-in" style movie theater built right onto the house! designed by the 13 members of Belzberg Architects for Hagy Belzberg who graduated from Harvard in 1991 and interned in Frank Gehry's office. thought everyone would enjoy seeing the absurd when it comes to houses. got to love that infinity pool too!
our team just wrapped up the final recap reports with our client and i wanted to take a moment to post some photos from the events in new orleans this past Dec/Jan. the whole experience was fantastic and our activation went off really well considering all the new initiatives, a new site location and pulling off two huge activations for each game within the matter of a week.
apparently i was on tv as well for the BCS halftime promotion, however i still haven't been able to get a copy to actually see it. once i do i'll post it up here as well.
depending on how this year's NFL draft goes this may be the second year in a row i've seen the #1 pick play in their final college game. last year being jamarcus russell and this year being LSU's glen dorsey.
